Crowd Control Tickets

John's been on with his morning update.

He sounded brighter himself and tells me that Mark had a great nights sleep. In fact, he was so deeply asleep that the nurses didn't think he knew a thing about it when they went in to turn him.
Rest is good, sleep is a healer.

John said that yesterday Mark had a good physio session - it's the start of a long road.  At this stage it will be difficult in many ways not least because it will highlight more of what he can't do than what he can do. But Mark is strong and positive and we know he'll be determined to get on with it.

The visit from his mates yesterday was another tonic. It's a real comfort that so many people are rallying round, new friends, old friends, friends from far and wide.  John said there are so many people wanting to visit that they are going to start issuing crowd control tickets! There are 14 coming in today and he was sorry that another six couldn't get in!

Hi Mark and Jenna and all of the family up in Middlesrough,

Thank you for taking the time out to create this blog, I am checking it every day and it is great to hear that Mark's hard work and positive thinking is paying off.

I am so proud of Jenna and Mark you have been unbelievably strong and I know you are going to get through this stronger than ever. You are both an absolute inspiration.

As always, please let me know if there is anything I can do. Am very glad to hear there is a long queue of people waiting up there to lift Mark's spirits, testament to the amazing person that he is and how much love and pride everyone who know him feels at this time.

Adam has also asked me to pass on his love and best wishes to Mark, he too is being updated daily and sends all the positive energy and love in the world.

Will write again soon and will keep checking for updates. So much positive thoughts coming your way Mark. And you Jenna. Sending all my love. Jen Jones xxxxxxx

  3. They describe Swifts ( wikapedia) as a family who never let their feet settle on the ground, preferring to soar high in the air to reach new grounds. Well like our feathered friends, that pretty much describes the swift family we all know and love and who are doing that every day.
John, it was great to talk to you today and your updates on mark are messages I will never tire off, so keep them coming whatever time off day. Bren, wish I could hug you right now but will have them stored up for you. Paul, Alan, you know the score and I'm here. Jenna, never met you but feel as though I've known you for years and we are with you all the way. Last words though for you Mark, your an inspiration to everyone not least yourself and this is a start of a novel with many more chapters to be written in the years to come. If you get bored, can I send my tax return up for you to do as I think yourr old man has cost me thousands !!. Mark, with you all the way fella and look forward to seeing you soon- Chris Chew

Wow! I know you are popular Mark but it would be quicker to buy a Liverpool FC season ticket than to wait in line to visit you! I guess we are just going to have to wait to see you when you come home - the sooner the better. With the love & support you are getting from family and friends its bound to be sooner. Come to think of it, you probably have even more friends than you think! Love & best wishes Phil, Emma & JoJo
